Dear Family,
It is a soggy, spring Sunday in Sterling Heights, but the grass is green and trees are budding and blooming to brighten the gray, rainy day.
Tale of Two Stones - It was the worst of pains and the best of relief as Dad passed two kidney stones on Wednesday morning. There is not much to show for it - but what a rellief!
Coughing Caniptionists - Mom has been staying home due a nasty cold and cough, which has not allowed her sleep at night. Even her old stand by, Nyquil, has not eliminated the dry cough nor helped her fall asleep. After two weeks of 2 a day antibiotic, Dad still has his periodic coughing fits. This growing old is not for weaklings!
Gainfully Employed - Michael has been working on landscaping for 10-12 hours a day. This weekend he will also get his schedule to work at Hollister’s a couple of evenings a week so can transfer back when he returns to Utah. It is a blessing to have a job. Today he attended the YoungSingleAdult Ward that meets at the Stake Center.
Celebration - Dad stayed with the Kulka Crew Friday afternoon through Saturday afternoon while Jim & Vanessa celebrated their 17th wedding anniversary. (Nona stayed home trying to beat this nasty cough/cold thing). During his reign of “Papahood” - He took: Olivia to get ice cream; Joshua and Tyler to their respective baseball practices and Sam to her soccer game. In summary, there was a 100% survival rate and a few baseball and soccer photos to show for it.
We hope all is well with you.
Love y’all,
Mom & Dad
